Unapologetic Blooming Rose is an original palette-knife painting from the Unapologetic Flowers series, a collection exploring flowers not as delicate decoration, but as bold, expressive forms that take up space.

Built entirely with a palette knife, the painting layers saturated pinks, deep burgundy, white, yellow and rich greens into a heavily textured surface. Darker interior shadows create depth between overlapping petals, while thick passages of acrylic preserve the physical movement of each mark.

The blooming rose expands across the composition in overlapping layers of pink, white and burgundy, while deep green foliage anchors the flower and heightens its sense of scale. Imperfect edges, visible scraping and sculptural palette-knife marks are intentionally preserved rather than smoothed away, allowing the rose to shift between recognizable form and abstraction while maintaining the raw, expressive character of the Unapologetic Flowers series.
